Sign up with your email. No credit card required. Browse all available rooms right away.

Pay the $19 membership fee & get verified

A one-time $19 application fee covers your background check and ID verification. This keeps every home in our network safe for all members. No minimum credit score required.

Browse & request a room

Once verified, browse available rooms and submit a booking request. Review all room details, house rules, and policies before requesting. The owner reviews each request — you won't be charged yet.

Booking approved → payment processed

When your booking is approved, your first week's (or bi-weekly) rent is automatically charged to the card on file from your membership payment. No second checkout step.

Move in & stay as long as you need

Move in on your chosen date. Pay weekly or bi-weekly — auto-charged so you never miss a payment. There's a 30-day minimum commitment, then stay month-to-month as long as you like.

Ready to leave? Give 2 weeks' notice

When you're done, simply notify us at least 14 days before your intended move-out date. No early-departure penalties after your 30-day minimum is up.

Everything you need to know before signing up

Is there a long-term lease?

No. Roomiez is a month-to-month membership — not a traditional lease. You commit to a minimum of 30 days (to protect both you and the owner), then stay as long as you like. Give 2 weeks' notice when you're ready to leave.

What's included in the weekly/bi-weekly rent?

All utilities (electric, water, heat/AC), WiFi, and access to all common areas are included. What you see is what you pay — no surprise bills or extra charges.

Is there a security deposit?

No security deposit. Ever. The $19 membership fee is a one-time application cost, not a deposit. You never have to put thousands of dollars down upfront.

What is the minimum stay?

All Roomiez memberships require a 30-day minimum commitment. After that, your tenancy continues week-to-week and you can leave anytime with 2 weeks' notice.

When am I charged rent?

Your first payment is taken automatically when your booking is approved. After that, rent is auto-charged on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule based on your chosen payment plan.

What happens if my booking isn't approved?

You are never charged until a booking is approved. If the owner declines your request, you owe nothing and can request a different room.

Can I have guests?

Guest policies vary by property and are outlined in each home's house rules. Most homes allow occasional visitors but not overnight guests to protect the privacy of all members.

What if I need to leave before 30 days?

The 30-day minimum is a commitment to the owner. If you leave early, your remaining balance through day 30 may still be due. After 30 days, leave anytime with 2 weeks' notice — no penalty.

How does background screening work?

Screening is handled by our partner Certn and includes an identity check and criminal background check. There is no minimum credit score. Most applicants are approved within 1–2 business days.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Your card is saved securely when you pay the $19 membership fee and used for all future rent payments.
