- Messages and communications sent through our platform
- Electronic signatures on lease and host agreements (via DocuSign)

- Stripe Financial Connections — bank account connection for income and affordability verification (stripe.com/privacy)

- Vercel — platform hosting and infrastructure
- Neon — database hosting
- Background screening providers — criminal history and eviction record checks (with your consent, as required by FCRA)
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Consumer Reporting & FCRA
When you apply for membership, we obtain consumer reports (including background checks) about you in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). You have the right to know if information in a consumer report is used against you, to access your consumer file, to dispute inaccurate information, and to seek damages from violators. If your application is declined based on a consumer report, we will provide you with an adverse action notice including the name and contact information of the reporting agency.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. This includes encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure storage, and access controls limiting who can view personal data. Sensitive data such as government IDs and bank credentials are handled directly by Stripe Identity and Stripe Financial Connections — we do not store raw copies. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
7. Address Privacy
Full property addresses are not publicly displayed on room listings. The exact address of a room is only shared with a renter after their booking is confirmed and an active lease is established. This protects the safety and privacy of both hosts and prospective renters.

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze platform usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our platform.
